The college was one of the first private girls schools established in New South Wales in the 1880s.
The school occupied a number of locations in the Manly area, eventually moving to the corner of Margaret Street and The Crescent in 1927.
For the next 33 years until its closure, the energy and drive of its last principal helped build the school to over 1000 students. During its eighty years of existence, it made a significant contribution to the cultural life of Manly, carrying forward to today.
